Visible Radiation
Less-studied but of emerging interest is the recognition that higher energy visible radiation (‘blue’ light) has longer-term detrimental effects on the eyes, skin and materials. Current UV filters and their technologies do not adequately address this region of the spectrum and as such this presents an opportunity for new molecules that extend protection above 400nm.
Our technology is protected globally by global pending patents for UV absorbing molecules and visible filter for human and material photo protection applications, including as components of coating compositions, glass compositions, plastics compositions, film-forming compositions, paint compositions; components of or coatings for lenses and eyeglasses as well as surface coatings for automobiles, timber, masonry, metals, plastics and glass; and components of compositions for marine applications.
